Due to a major bug in the C++ Builder XE8 linker, the libraries do not work well in C++ Builder when compiling FireMonkey applications, and this functionality is not supported officially at present. We are working with Embarcadero to help them fix the linker, or find a work around.

Please accept our apology for the inconvenience.

We are also working to make an official release in few days.

Visuino - the Arduino Visual development environment now with visual instruments view

Visuino now includes instruments for visualizing the received data from the new structured packaged communication.

In addition digital signals are now also supported by the structured packages, and the Scope view has been enhanced to allow showing the digital data.

Visuino - the Arduino Visual development environment now supports structured packaged communication

The latest version of Visuino finally has the structured package support, with structure designer.
Here is the new version in action:

As you can see the new version also has automatically configuring multi-channel scope :-) .
All you need to do is to select the packet component you want to show in the scope and it will self configure to match the format of the selected packetizer :-) . When the communication is stopped, any change of the packet will be reflected immediately in the scope.

Prerelease downloads of LabPacks for Delphi XE7

  Hello everyone,

 

 

I will be traveling tomorrow for the PasCon in the Netherlands next week, however I will succeeded to squeeze enough time to make and test a prerelease of the libraries for Delphi XE7  :-) .

Please be aware this version is for Delphi XE7 only! It has some C++ Builder issues. Do not use it in C++ Builder!
It has installs only for XE7 and not for any other Delphi versions.

When I am back from PasCon on the 16th, I will continue the work on the official release.

RAD Studio XE5 Delphi and C++ Builder versions of Mitov Software's LabPacks

  Dear Customers,

Embarcadero has recently released RAD Studio XE5 with Android support.

We are proud to announce that we are in process of porting a number of our libraries to support Android. This is a slow and lengthy process, and as result we probably will delay official RAD Studio XE5 release until we have sufficiently completed the Android work.

In the mean time however we will make prereleases  available for RAD Studio XE5 tested under Windows. The prereleases will be carefully tested and as stable as official releases, however the documentation for them will not be updated before the official release is ready.

Also unless otherwise stated they will not be properly tested for older versions of RAD Studio and we do not recommend installing them in any other version than XE5. They will be both tested in the Delphi and C++ Builder personalities.

The libraries are tested and work well both in Delphi and C++ Builder XE5.

Under C++ Builder when using Fire Monkey there are some problems however. Up to C++ Builder XE5 using VCL code in FireMonkey application was acceptable. In C++ Builder XE5 any attempt to use any VCL code appears to cause problems in FireMonkey, and since some of the components still have built-in VCL dialogs this is causing issues to the C++ Builder personality. This is not a problem in Delphi only in C++ Builder wen using FireMonkey. Once we complete the Android migration, this problem should also be addressed.

Just released version 6.0 of all of our libraries for Delphi, C++ Builder, RAD Studio XE2 to XE4, and .NET

We have just released version 6.0 of all of our libraries for Delphi, C++ Builder, RAD Studio, and .NET including support for Delphi, C++ Builder and RAD Studio XE4 on our site - http://www.mitov.com/ .

This is the biggest release we have ever done.

It includes a full code rewrite for the entire code base, to utilize the latest Delphi language features.
This version uses a brand new and improved threading model resulting in performance improvements.
The DirectShow implementation has gone a significant redesign.
There is a fair number of new and improved components and features, including improved VST 2.X support, new VST 3.0 support, FreeFrameGL support, MJPEG IP Cameras, patter detection, and trigger components for SignalLab, number of new TimingLab components and much more.

OpenWire Editor for Visual Studio .NET

Hi Folks,

For a while the Delphi and C++ Builder users of our products have been able to enjoy the power of the OpenWire Editor, both in VCL and FireMonkey.
We are however glad to announce that we are hard at work on a .NET version for Visual Studio 2010, and expect to have it available as Beta in the next couple of weeks :-) .

Adding VST support in AudioLab

    Hi folks,

We are finally adding VST support to AudioLab. Version 2.X support is mostly done and we are working on testing and improving it.
If you are interested in evaluating it, please contact me and I will send you installer with the crrent support.
Adding fully featured 2.4 support is surely uphill battle as anyone ever done VST probably can tell you :-D . Adding proper VSTXML support alone seems to take forever :-( . We are however fully committed to properly implementing it.
As soon as the 2.X support is finished, we will start working on the 3.X support.

New 5.0.2 release of all of our VCL and .NET products.

Dear Customers,

We are proud to announce the new 32 and 64 bit 5.0.2 release for RAD Studio XE2 Update 4, and .NET .
This version contains both 32 and 64 bit version of the libraries, and includes the latest Beta FireMonkey support.

The library also includes a total rework of the .NET support.
All .NET assemblies are now implemented in C#.
There are now only managed assemblies, and all non managed assemblies are eliminated, reducing the number of necessary assemblies by half.
All assemblies contain all the necessary 32 and 64 bit DLLs and BPLs.
The need for Visual C++ .NET RTL is eliminated.

We have also released updated versions of OpenWire, the OpenWire Editor, Visual Libve Bindings preview, and IGDI+ .

New Delphi XE2 Update 4 prerelease

We have new prerelease for Delphi XE2 Update 4.
This version fixes a problem in the installer on 32 bit operating systems.
The new version also includes new hand animations in InstrumentLab, the option to specify the location of the centers in the analog instruments, and improvements in the support of control hands.
The PlotLab now has initial support for cursors, cursor links and labels in the Waterfall components. We are working on improved support for those features.
We expect to have official release with the full cursor, and cursor links support in few days.

This versions are a major upgrade from the official 5.0.1 versions.
They have 2 times less assemblies, all the assemblies are managed safecode, and all necessary DLLs are embedded into the assemblies.
The assemblies will work automatically natively both in 32 and 64 bit Windows, and contain embedded DLLs for both platforms.

The Visual C++ redistributable is also not needed any more.

In addition this version significantly improves the design time performance of the components, and fixes the WPF embedding problems.

The libraries contain 64 bit support both for VCL and FireMonkey.

At the moment there are two known problems. The NeuralNetwork throws floating point exception during training in 64 bit mode. I have already fixed the problem, and it will be included in the next build.
The DirectShow video player does not seem to generate proper OnStop event in 64 bit mode, and as result the Loop mode is not working and the video transition demo has problems.
I will be working to fix this bug as well.

Please remember. This installs are for early adopters only. These are the very first 64 bit installs and other problems are very likely to be in them. We are testing them extensively, and expect to find more issues.
We do not recommend using the 64 bit versions without extensive testing first!

Connecting to remote DirectShow Graph in 64 bit Windows 7

Hi folks,

Ever since I upgraded to 64 bit Windows 7, I have not been able to connect to remote 32 bit DirectShow graphs from GraphEdit :-( . Well... not any more :-) . Thanks to one of my customers, who unveiled the secret :-) . It turns out there is a DLL provided in the Microsoft SDK that is not registered during the install of the SDK.
To enable the functionality copy the 32 bit version of the proppage.dll from the SDK (in the 7.1 version of the SDK in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\Bin ) to the Windows\SysWOW64 directory.
Then run the:
regsvr32.exe proppage.dll

after that you will be able to connect to the registered DirectShow graphs from GraphEdit.

Delphi XE2 Update 2 and FireMonkey

Hi Folks,

Embarcadero is working hard on rapidly improving Delphi XE2 and the FireMonkey support.
Unfortunately that comes with a price :-( . They just have released Update 2 and reportedly it introduces some big changes in the VCL and FireMonkey libraries. This requires our packages to be recompiled for Update 2 in order to be compatible.

We are working to make Update 2 compatible release in the next 2 days.

We are also working hard to make a FireMonkey version for Windows available probably sometime next week. We have all the packages ready, and are in process of creating the demos and the installs.

MAC, and iOS FireMonkey versions are also under way, and should become available soon!

All existing customers that have purchased or will purchase VCL version in less than 1 year before the FireMonkey version becomes available will get it for free! :-) .

Upcomming support for Delphi XE2 and FireMonkey

Hi all,

I am finally allowed to announce the upcoming support for Delphi XE2 and FireMonkey :-).
I will post more information as soon as I am allowed to.
All I can say is that I have been really impressed by what I have seen from Delphi XE2 and the awesome power of the FireMonkey . We finally can build 64 bit applications, crossplatform applications and even Mobile applications in native code, with 2D and 3D skinnable user interface, as easy as it was building VCL applications in the past.

This is simply awesome!

Delphi XE2 is with no doubt the most important Delphi release in its entire history, probably even bigger than Delphi 1 was when it was introduced (If you remember those days :-D ).

We are getting close to the next release of the libraries. In this release one of the main focuses was significantly improving the .NET support. As part of the process we have redesigned the .NET assemblies from the ground up. We have rewritten the top level assemblies from C++/CLI to C# to improve Visual Studio 2010 compatibility, and we have separated the design time functionality into separated assemblies to add "3.5/4.0 Client Profile" support. A lot of design time enhancements ware also added, and we expect the upcoming version to be the most .NET friendly version yet :-) .

I also would like to remind you that anybody who has purchased any of the libraries within less than 1 year from the new release will get the upgrade for free! :-) . This is always our policy!

AudioLabBasic.DLL now is called Mitov.AudioLabBasic.DLL

and the non managed assemblies have prefix of Mitov.Native. instead of suffix of VCL, as example:

AudioLabBasicVCL.DLL now is called Mitov.Native.AudioLabBasic.DLL

There are also design time assemblies added to support “.NET 3.5 Client Profile” and “.NET 4.0 Client Profile”.

Also the assemblies are now in the Bin\4.0 subdirectory instead of the Bin subdirectory, since we provide both 2.0 and 4.0 compiled assemblies side by side.

The documentation is not yet updated to reflect those changes. We are working on this.

We also have prerelease versions of the Delphi, C++ Builder, and Visual C++ libraries. We can send download links per request, as we need to test the installs for the specific compiler version before we can provide it.
