My "Video Processing with Delphi Part 5 (Video Effects and Animations)" article in the Blaise Pascal Magazine is published :-)

And my 5th Video Processing with Delphi is now published in the Blaise Pascal Magazine :-)

In the article I used the latest VideoLabInstrumentLab, and AnimationLab features, added recently. They are not available in the official VideoLab, InstrumentLab, and AnimationLab release yet, so if you want to follow the article, you should download and install the latest prerelease that I posted recently here:
http://labpacks.blogspot.com/2017/05/the-first-delphi-102-tokyo-compatible.html

You can get the magazine from the Blaise Pascal Magazine website here.

Here is also the source code for the project from the article:
http://www.mitov.com/DelphiVideoEffectsAndAnimations.zip

Please enjoy :-)
This is the second part of the Video Effects and Animation series, and shows how you can use Animation Timeline from AnimationLab to animate the video layers and effects.
Here is preview of the final application working:

I am already working on the next Article, so stay tuned ;-)

Assemble Tamiya 71107 Remote Control Mechanical Insect Robot

Last weekend I was presenting at SoCal CodeCamp in LA, and one of the attendees, brought me a cool Remote Control Insect KIT from TAMIYA.

This time I decided to make the video on one take, but it turned out to be a mistake :-( . The camera stopped recording after a while so part of the process was not recorded :-( .
I am sorry for this, Will make sure to find better ways to record videos in the future. I have recapped the missing steps at the end.

Here is the KIT before the assembly:

Now that I have the robot assembled, I will see to add controller and some sensors to it, and make some cool Robot projects with Visuino :-)

My 2 page ad from the Blaise Pascal Magazine

As you probably know, I have been a regular contributor to Blaise Pascal Magazine for the last couple of years, publishing articles in every issue.
In the previous and in the next issue of Blaise Pascal Magazine, there is also a 2 page ad for Visuino and the Mitov Software libraries.
Just for fun, I have decided to post it here :-)

I hope you enjoy it :-)

Cheers,

Pictures from SoCal CodeCamp 2017 yesterday

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to present at SoCal CodeCamp in LA again :-)
I had 4 sessions, and it was a busy, and tiring day for me, but I was able to snap some pictures and here they are :-)

Arriving at CodeCamp in the morning:

The schedule for my sessions in one of the rooms:

And the room... during the "Video, Audio Processing, DSP, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence in Delphi" session:

The "Implementing Internet of Things with Visuino" session:

One of the attendees at the session even brought me a great gift! A robot KIT! :-) :

I plan to assemble it, and then try to control upgrade it with Arduino, and program it with Visuino, so stay tuned for some fun videos and tutorials with it! :-)

The "Industrial Automation (PLC/SCADA) and Communication with Visuino, Delphi, Visual Studio and OpenWire Studio" session:

And finally the "Programming Arduino Robots with Visuino" session:

And the closing of the event:

This was another fun SoCal CodeCamp event, and I am already looking forward to the next one :-)
In the next 1-2 days, I plan to also post the projects and powerpoint presentations from the sessions, so stay tuned ;-)

Cheers,
  Boian
