Just received a new beautiful Smart Car robot kit Version 2.0 from Elegoo for the Visuino development!

Couple of months ago the great folks at Elegoo sent me a beautiful Robot Kit Version 1.0.
I already posted Assembly Instructions, and some tutorials on programming it.
Since then Elegoo introduced a newer and simpler to assemble 2.0 version, and the Elegoo folks just sent me this really beautiful Smart Car Robot KIT Version 2.0 donated for the Visuino development.
It arrived over the weekend, and I already have assembled it, and recorded some assembly videos. I even had a chance to do a basic implementation of the support for its shield in Visuino, and plan to add more features in the coming days.

My first impression is that the set is of very high quality! Also includes all the necessary tools for the assembly.

Nice box with handle, and well packed components:

I will post the unboxing video soon, so stay tuned ;-)

Yesterday received this ENC28J60 Ethernet module generously donated by Rafal Czachurski for the Visuino development :-)

Thank you Rafal!

I am almost done with the Modbus development, so in the next 1-2 days, I should be able to get back to adding support for the modules that I received recently, including this one!

This is Part 1. It shows you how to program Elegoo Arduino Smart Car robot with Visuino to be controlled through Bluetooth Classic with HC-06 module.

In the following article I will also show you how to create Android App with Delphi to control the robot.

The "Build Something That Matters" Hackaday Unconference in Pasadena last Saturday

Last Saturday I was at the "Build Something That Matters" Hackaday Unconference in Pasadena .
It was a great and fun event, with a number of very interesting and inspirational speakers, and as customary for the Supplyframe Design Lab very good food.
Here are some of the pictures I took:

The gathering crowd:

And showing the ISS Above :

Present was also one of the Hackaday editors - Dan Maloney:

And here are some of the speakers:

No such event is complete without great food :-)

A lot of people stayed long after the event was over:

I met a lot of interesting people, and learned a lot in few hours, and even had a chance to make an 8 minute presentation of Visuino .
This was a great event, and I hope there will be many more like it in the coming years!

The very first Visuino Pro Beta version with Modbus support is now available!

Happy Pi Day everyone!
The very first Visuino Pro Beta version is now available in the Visuino community!

It includes Modbus Slave support, and allows easily to create Modbus SCADA enabled projects, turning your Arduinos into Modbus compatible PLCs .

Master Modbus support is also in development and should be available soon! :-)

To celebrate, I have also increased the time you can run the free Visuino versions to 10 minutes every time you run :-)

Cheers everyone,
  Boian
