Hackaday LA July Meetup Last Thursday - "On Cats and Typing Robots" with Elecia White

On Thursday, I attended the Hackaday LA July Meetup - On Cats and Typing Robots with Elecia White .
As always, it was a great event, organized by Dan and Shulie and the rest of the team from Supplyframe DesignLab.
This time there was only one presentation, but it was a rare treat :-)
Elecia White from Embedded.FM demonstrated some of her work on Computer Vision and controlling manipulator robot as part of her typing robot experimental project. She also had the robot hand follow a laser marker thus simulating a robot Cat :-)

Here are some pictures that I took from the event:

The gathering crowd:

The great food:

The cool Supplyframe DesignLab place:

The "Show and Tell" area:
On the foreground the Will Kalman's display of rotation speed control with Arduino Nano, and
Tim Trzepacz showing blinking Tiaras. My Robots visible on the background :

The TerraPreta Project prototypes:

And Visuino surrounded by my Robots :

And Dan taking over:

Passing the microphone to Elecia White from Embedded.FM:

And with the Dan's help, showing Laser Pointer Following Robot Arm:

The Supply Frame Designlab was broadcasting the video live, and you can see the replay on their Facebook Page here:

As always it was yet another great event! Thank you Dan and Shulie!
Looking forward to more great Hackaday events in the future :-)
