First prototype of Heating and Air-conditioning system with remote temperature sensor

When using the Heating and Air-conditioning system in the house, the control unit is located in the master bedroom, and controls the temperature there. When I work in the office, the temperature is not well maintained.
I need to have a remote temperature sensor in the office, controlling the Heating/AC system.
I decided to solve this with two ESP8266 NodeMCUs and Visuino.
Here is the first experimental working prototype:

Control unit:

And Remote sensor:

Next I plan to replace the sensor with DHT22, improve the UI, and package the whole thing together in boxes.
The second power regulator on the first picture is now removed. I used it for quick test before I adjusted the voltage from the adjustable buck AC/DC regulator on the top.
I will post more pictures and the Visuino project when I get it all working to my satisfaction ;-) .

Article about Visuino and ESP8266 in the "Blaise Pascal Magazine" (Internet of Things with ESP8266)

The 5th article about Visuino - http://www.visuino.com, and how to create IoT remote WiFi thermostat with ESP8266 and Visuino, has just been published in the "Blaise Pascal Magazine" http://www.blaisepascal.eu :

There are more articles on the way, on how to connect Arduino and ESP8266 to between themselves, and to web servers, so stay tuned ;-)

The second Visuino article from the Blaise Pascal magazine is now publicly available

With the permission of the Blaise Pascal Magazine editor, I am posting as PDF the second of the Visuino articles that I published last year.

In this article you will learn how you can communicate over serial port between Delphi and Arduino with the help of Visuino.

In the coming days, I will post the rest of the articles.
There are a lot more great resources in the magazine, and I recommend you to check it out.
I will be posting more articles in the magazine, and although they may get released here at some later point, you can get them from the magazine right away!

Enjoy! :-)

The first Visuino article from the Blaise Pascal magazine is now publicly available

Last year I published 4 articles on Visuino in the Blaise Pascal Magazine.
Now with the permission of the magazine editor, I have posted the first of them here as a PDF file.

Advanced Delphi RTTI and accessing it with the free Mitov.TypeInfo in the Blaise Pascal Magazine

The second Mitov.Runtime - http://www.mitov.com/products/mitov-runtime#overview article is now available in the "Blaise Pascal Magazine" http://www.blaisepascal.eu . This one covers the advanced Delphi RTTI and how to easily access and use it with the Mitov.TypeInfo .

In the following issues, I will cover even more aspects of attribute based development using the RTTI, and how you can reduce your code, and speed up your development significantly.

Enjoy!

I have created a Mitov Software G+ community

I have just created a Mitov Software G+ community:
https://plus.google.com/communities/113374957664196934589

If you are using the LabPacks, one of the free libraries from Mitov Software, OpenWire Studio or one of the open source projects supported by me, please join us there for a good time :-)

My first Instructable is now done :-)

Just made my first Instructable: Arduino: Controlling Servo with PS2 controller (Program with Visuino)

Here is the video of the working project:

Check it out, and if you like it please vote for it :-)

Day 2 of showing Visuino at the "Barnes and Noble" Maker Faire

And day 3 of the "Barnes and Noble" Maker Faire, and second day of showing Visuino:

Setting up the Visuino and Arduino:

Me adding a servo control to the Arduino demo:

Mike Outmesguine talking with kid about the new Conejo Valley Makerspace taht he is organizing:

And me describing Visuino :-) . I did a project whit flashing NeoPixels, where the color was partially controlled with the X and Y of one of the PS2 controller sticks (Red with X, Green with Y and Blue from sine generator), and I also added a Servo today, also controlled by the PS2 controller. I even added an option to switch between controlling the servo, and colors with the PS2 controller or with generators . To switch I used the select button on the PS2 controller. Also added packet communication for the X,Y position of the right PS2 controller stick and one of the Sine generators. All the in few minutes there :-) . I will see to post the project in the G+ Community :

Looking at all the cool stuff Mike, and Dan brought:

Dan DeMaggio, Mike Outmesguine, and me:

And me looking at some more cools stuff they were showing:

At the evening a book signing by Mark Hatch, the CEO of TechShop, the author of "The Maker Movement Manifesto", and a real Makers Movement entusiast:

The Open Source OpenWire project has been updated to official 10 Seattle support

I have updated the OpenWire project to support 10 Seattle:

http://www.openwire.org

 OpenWire in Delphi 10 Seattle

OpenWire allows components to be connected together and allows them to exchange data and events, enabling code-less programming in Delphi and C++ Builder .

The OpenWire Sourceforge repository has also been updated with the latest version:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/openwireproject/

Enjoy :-)
